Mirandola to Mantova

A better day today after a decent sleep last night! We had aimed to be away by 8.30, but we all lay in which was probably a good thing after the disruptions in Bologna. So it was more like 9.30, but no harm done. A lovely ride today, mostly along quiet roads and some cycle path (albeit with a fair bit of gravel once again!!). We stopped for a coffee in a lovely small down, where we appeared to create some interest for the locals.

We also managed a longer stop in beautiful Mantova. It's really stunning and definitely deserves more fame! Lovely gelato too :)

We're staying at 'Corte Chiara' Agricampeggio. It's one of the more random agriturismo places we're stayed at - but we quite like them that way. Friendly owner, clean facilities (if not plentiful) and BUNNIES running around. Unfortunately there's some loud music playing right now but that seems to be the way. I am actually looking forward to stopping camping. In case that wasn't obvious!

Back to Lake Garda tomorrow, albeit the other shore. Then we head West and will really feel like we're on our way home!
