Nice riding to start with, with a really pretty section around Garda town, where we stopped for a coffee. The road was fairly busy, but the traffic was all pretty relaxed. Further south, it became complete tourist hell. Peppa Pig Land, anyone?? The road was busy but the cycle path was worse (shared with pedestrians), so we stuck with the former.

It was actual gridlock approaching Peschiera, and we couldn't ride along our roads of choice due to a very busy market. We eventually found a way around and escaped down the cycle path along the river. 10ks later and we were in Borghetto - very pretty but also packed with tourists.

We sought solace at the Borghetto Park campsite. 28 euros for a spacious, quiet site with nice facilities and a lovely pool. And we have wine :)
