Oh the joy of a wet tent AGAIN. It did give us an excuse to sit and enjoy coffee and croissants at the campsite bar though! It's a cheerful little spot.

The previous two days' rides really took their toll today! I am not sure I've ever cycled so slowly. The climb starts almost from the campsite. Up up up on the main road, which was fairly busy so we were glad we weren't going over the San Pellegrino pass. It was a relief to see the turn off to the Passo Valles. It's pretty steep most of the way, with the only real let up around the 5km marker (Italian road have markers every 100m, as do the roads in Austria!) Strava reckons it averages 8.5
