Ferrara to Alba Agriturismo

We didn't have to check out til 12, so headed into Ferrara for a coffee and a wander. Another beautiful city, surely worthy of more of our time. We particularly liked the city walls, which you can walk / cycle long. Very cool. Cafe Noir is a good bet for coffee, pastries and free wifi. Oh, and views of the castle.

Then we hit the road once more. We ate a lot more early on today (including two delicious mini-pizzas from a bakery in Ferrara) and it seemed to help with energy levels and sense of humour. Another nice ride with a stretch along the Po river cycle path. The Komoot route did deposit us on a fairly major road for a good chunk, but we swiftly re-routed thanks to maps.me. More cloud cover today which made things a lot cooler, very welcome.

We are staying at Alba Agritourismo. A lovely spot that works out as 29 euros for two of us. Great looking pool, but it was raining when we arrived and continued for a couple of hours! It seems to be a vineyard, so we bought a bottle of 5 euro wine when we checked in. Actually pretty good!
