Arriving in Bologna

Another good journey with Emirates, and the bikes arrived unscathed once again. We found a spot inside the air conditioned airport and built the bikes (which took forever due to tour weary state!). Then it was onto Italian roads for the first time..... We'd planned our route in advance to avoid the main road, and it was absolutely fine. Bologna has lots of bikes, and lots of bike lanes!

We stayed at the only campsite, which is a whopping 35 euros for 2 people in a tent. Australia, all is forgiven! Fortunately food is very cheap.
