This felt harder than it should! We perked up after a coffee stop after about 30K (clearly signed, 500m, 200m etc, friendly guy and good hot coffee). More spectacular views and great riding.

We're staying at Kiang Doi guesthouse. Big room with two double beds, fridge, aircon, bathroom.....accidentally negotiated to 400 baht. Bit shabby but great location, although not super peaceful in the evening due to the road and music from the adjoining restaurant.

Lunch was at Little Good Things vegan cafe - excellent, and such a sweet owner.
Dinner was at Salaween River - amazing Burmese Shan food, highly recommended.

There seems to be some sort of celebration going on, as there's a huge night market on Singhanat Bamrung. So much food, lanterns, and people walking around in traditional dress.
