Mae La Noi to Khun Yuam

Stunning day! We were ready for it to be really tough, but it was actually fine until the last big climb which coincided with the midday sun, and the climb into the town is a bit mean too. Overall, I think we did the right thing by breaking the journey at Mai La Noi. Today was all the more enjoyable for not being a slog!

We stopped for an iced coffee at 'Three Mists', around 30K from Mae La Noi. What an idyllic spot. Highly recommended for the insane view - the coffee was good too.

We were going to check out Ban Farang thanks to its great write up on Travelfish....but Mitkhoonyoum hotel also fares pretty well, and we got to it first. The lady was super friendly, and showed us the rooms which are simple but great. 400 baht for aircon, 300 baht for fan. The deluxe rooms look really nice, 600 baht though.

Great lunch at Doi Khun coffee.
Great dinner at Shabu Sushi (which actually makes the food for the coffee place so essentially the same!)
English menu and loads of veggie options. The green curry and pad thai were particularly good.

Excited about tomorrow, should be another good one!
