Once again we made the fatal mistake of assuming this short ride would be ‘easy’. Pretty sure it’s psychological, but every time we do this we really struggle!

Not such stunning countryside today but still not bad; especially as we basically rode along the edge of the mountains all day. Mostly on road but as before, all fine. We detoured to Lidl once again, where I spent less than 15 euros on all the food we’ll need for the next two days (tomorrow is Sunday, which makes it harder but not impossible to buy food). My bike did then weight an absolute ton, however!

We are staying at the Al Ranch Agriturismo which has gained the title of cheapest Italian campsite thus far! 15 euros, much appreciated. It’s a funny little place with a real character for an owner (enjoyed speaking to me in bad french - mine is also bad mind you!). Small camping field which we had all to ourselves for most of the day, although a couple of vans turned up late afternoon. The washing facilities are in the main building which also has rooms and a bar / restaurant. No washing up sinks but it is only 15 euros…..
