Wellington to Tuamarina: largely by ferry

I actually forgot to write this at the time but not too much of note.

Taking your bike on the ferry is very easy as you might expect. Good idea to have eg some bungees to hand - they are some straps, but if you're in for a rough crossing (as we thought we were) it's good to make sure they're secure.

We then rode the short distance to our warmshowers in Tuamarina, where we spent a hilarious evening in the company of hosts Rene and Leonie, and their AirBnB guest Stephen.

The following morning we stowed our bikes and most of our junk in their spacious garage, and set off on the bus with our backpacks for a different kind of adventure!
