Hoi An to Tam Ky
Wednesday November 22, 2017, 34 miles (54 km) - Total so far: 2,076
miles (3,341 km)
It was dry and warm this morning, which lured us into putting on some sunscreen. It then rained most of the day, including monsoon conditions as we entered Tam Ky! The ride was easy, if not particularly exciting.

Tam Ky is a reasonable sized town that bustles in the usual manner here in Vietnam. We'd read good google reviews for the Anh Huy hotel, and it is indeed pretty nice. 300,000 dong for a comfortable room, and our bikes are cozy in the lobby. We did feel a bit bad about dripping everywhere though!
Breakfast was excellent croissants and Western-style coffee at 9 Grains in Hoi
An (with slightly strange party music).
Lunch was banh mi from Phuong in Hoi An - as seen on the Travel Channel,
apparently (they were indeed very tasty).
Dinner was at Quang Chay Huong Sen here in Tam Ky - marked on google and found
via Happy Cow. Zero English spoken and we weren't quite sure how it worked,
but delicious plates of rice and goodies were produced (I think this is
'Com'?), plus hot tea, all for 30,000...for two!! We also tried two other
veggie places but neither was open - fingers crossed for breakfast
Discovery of the day - 'Op La' means omelette / fried egg. I keep seeing it advertised on banh mi stands - sounds like they do cater for veggies after all!
