Grr.
\n
Anyway, it should have been an easy day's cycling but I found it a bit of a\nslog. It's all very well being back on the flat, but it's a lot less\ninteresting!! It didn't help that Komoot sent us down a footpath in Mantova so\nwe had to do a long backtrack. Things didn't improve when we checked out the\nAgricampeggio that we'd targeted......moral of the story, read the google\nreviews and when someone says 'the place is random with loads of young people\nhanging out, piles of rubbish and no actual staff' you should believe them and\nnot bother going!!
\n
So, we had our first wild camp of our European leg (and only the second so far\non this whole trip!). It was about time really. Finding water is usually easy\nin Italy as town centres have either taps or fountains in squares / parks etc.\nSo that was straightforward, and then we found a spot pretty easily too. There\nare lots of plantations of trees running alongside the cycleway. They're set\ndown from the road too, which makes it fairly easy to tuck in and be hidden.\nWe felt really anxious about being seen but it was completely fine of course,\nand actually a great spot!
","frontmatter":{"date":null,"path":"/journal/207","title":""}}},"pageContext":{}}}
