Then it was along the pretty\nvalley, uphill all the way. It started out as false flat and gradually became\nsteeper…..and steeper….until we could no longer ride! I pushed my bike for\nabout 3km, which is also no mean feat. NOTE that there is another road you\ncould ride up, which looks like it follows a more gradual gradient.</p>\n<p>That pretty much finished us off, but the rest of the ride was mostly gently\nundulating so we just about survived. We’d scheduled a detour to Predjama\ncastle, which was all good apart from Komoot sending us down a very steep,\nrocky track for a few Ks - again, beware if you use this tool, or follow our\nroute. Quite the culture shock arriving at the tourist hell of the castle\nitself - it’s an impressive spot but we pretty much just grabbed an ice cream\nand then got the heck out of there.</p>\n<p>It was a fairly easy ride to the campsite after that, although we were pretty\ntoasted! Fortunately, they have a bar with beer and chips. :). It’s called\nCamping Pivka Jama and is absolutely massive, albeit spacious.
