{"componentChunkName":"component---src-templates-journal-js","path":"/journal/177","result":{"data":{"markdownRemark":{"html":"<h1>Vicenza to Borso del Grappa</h1>\n<h3>Wednesday July 18, 2018, 35 miles (57 km) - Total so far: 4,929 miles</h3>\n<p>(7,933 km)</p>\n<p>We popped into Vicenza first thing and were glad we did - it’s incredible!!\nThe main square is bordering on over the top - with a real mix of\narchitecture. Add to that a maze of tiny streets - very appealing indeed. We\nhad a quick coffee and were then on our way.</p>\n<p>Not so many cycle paths today, and some busy sections. We did re-navigate\nround one section but really just for our own enjoyment. Italian drivers\ncontinue to give us plenty of space, and to wait to pass…...or maybe we’ve\njust been desensitised by the horrors of New Zealand!!</p>\n<p>We were wowed again on entering Bassano del Grappa. You don’t realise it’s\nanything much until you cross the old bridge (currently being fixed). Then the\nviews of the beautiful river and the mountains are just wow.</p>\n<p>We cycled on a few kilometres further to rest our heads at the Santa Felicita\ncampground in Borso del Grappa. Beautiful views of the mountains on the\napproach, with tons of paragliders. The camp site is a nice spot with great\nfacilities for 22 euros - can’t complain. Lots of mountain bikers and\nparagliders!
