The weather was pretty bleak when we set out, and we had\na couple of soakings, but had completely cleared up by mid-afternoon. Note\nthat the hill is much steeper in this direction!<br>\n<a href=\"https://www.strava.com/activities/1596113308\">https://www.strava.com/activities/1596113308</a></p>\n<p>We are staying at the wonderful Gateway Motel holiday park. It's one of the\nnicest campsites we've stayed at, the owners are super lovely, and the roomy\ncabin was just $68 (compared to inferior lodgings in Martinborough for $80).\nThere's a small shop in Pirinoa if, like us, you've been hungrier than\nexpected.
