Ed declared the campsite his favourite yet, and I'm inclined to agree. And not only because they provided croissants :)

Another brutal day thanks to Austria's steep hills. Very pretty though! We initially headed back towards Klagenfurt, but stayed close to the shores of the Worther See. Very pleasant indeed. That was the flat bit! As we headed north, the road ramped right up. Ouch indeed. Komoot put us on some gravel for a time, which we avoided by going along a bigger road for a few km. Then it put us on an unpleasantly busy main road, which we avoided by going via some pretty backroads, but also the worst gravel to date!

Once in Feldkirchen we faffed around finding Lidl, then headed North once again. Some bike path along a main road, then onto back roads and UP UP UP for the last time. Phew!!

After 25 consecutive nights' camping, we're feeling overdue for a bit of space. Mostly me....I am struggling with everything being so busy and noisy. So, we've booked ourselves into a farmstay for 4 nights. It's great so far (other than the broken fridge) - planning to do very little. Then we'll head West once again - meeting friends in Weissbriach on 14th which will be another treat!!
