Whanganui river road

I've wanted to see the Whanganui river for a really long time. This was a pleasant ride.....but wasn't anywhere near as dramatic as I was expecting. I am not sure if it's better if you ride further up the road, or if you really do need to do the river journey by boat! A pleasant day even if it didn't live up to my impossible expectations;)
