Dong Hoi was so nice we ended up having an unplanned rest day!

Excellent breakfast back at Treehugger, before heading up to the beach by Beachfront Backpackers. The backpackers has a lovely bar area where we grabbed coffees and then food later....which was really excellent. Probably also a good place to stay! We had dinner round the corner at the Thai Food restaurant

• delicious but the portions aren't huge. Great service and a lovely spot.

If you like sitting in cafes as we do, find Rustic Coffee and F Coffee on Google / maps.me. Both great places to while away a few hours.

If you'd like somewhere more original to stay than Nam Long, check out Dolphin Homestay. We went to the attached grocery store and the owner asked us to spread the word. Looks good on booking.com, and the welcome was extremely friendly! Can't fault the Nam Long though.
