Phong Nha national park loop

Wow. This is definitely worth the effort, especially if, like us, you aren't cycling the famous but remote DHCM west! If you ride clockwise, you get the two climbs over with in the first half. It's a wonderful ride on quiet roads and through spectacular scenery. We feel like we've had our fill of caves recently, and they are quite expensive here....so we settled for a break at the 'botanic garden' - which was fab. The waterfall is a real highlight - you can swim at the bottom and then you climb up the side of it.
We were back in time for an excellent lunch at Yummy restaurant.
I should have said - breakfast is included at Mountain View hotel....we had
the omelette baguette which was very nice, and we were given an extra baguette
which we enjoyed with jam. They also gave us bananas to take away.
More cake at Capture cafe this afternoon....still excellent....
Dinner back at Bamboo cafe which was pretty average, and the place was packed
with tourists. We wished we'd gone to one of the quieter places that probably
needed our business a bit more!
