We mostly spent the day rushing around to buy train tickets. We did manage to eat well at Tesco Lotus food at Bangkapi mall, before braving the bus to Hua Mak station to buy tickets. The buses are actually made quite easy with google's help.

Note about bikes on trains. You can't take your bike on all trains. You need to buy your own ticket first, and it's advisable to do this in advance as we did, as they only let people on until all the seats are filled. You then arrange to take your bike by going to the cargo or freight office. This was easy but there was a fair bit of paperwork, so make sure you have plenty of time! Our tickets were 276 baht each to Uttaradit, 2nd class with fan (the air on train didn't accept bikes), 90 baht extra for a bike.

We ate well at Palatable Vedge, a fully vegan restaurant fairly near Spinning Bear. We were the only customers and the staff did look at us like we had two heads, but he food was good!

Great to spend a bit more time at Spinning Bear, chatting with Im and Py about all things bike touring. They are heading up to do the Mae Hong Son loop in the next few months, so that felt like a vote of confidence in part of our route! Lovely people, literally couldn't do enough to help. Im even supplied packed breakfast for the following day.
